From: John Velez <johnvelez.aic.nul> Date: Fri, 21 May 2004 14:21:24 -0400 Fwd Date: Wed, 26 May 2004 05:55:21 -0400 Subject: FYI The Mexico Case [Delayed 'somewhere, out-there' arrived this a.m. --ebk] Hi All, One of the genuinely good things about how Jaime Maussan has handled all of this is, after having been entrusted with this most compelling piece of 'evidence' by the top military officials in Mexico, Jaime has disseminated the material far and wide _internationally_ and at warp speed. He is to be commended for his democratic approach and the _superlative_ handling of this whole case thus far. The man has been busting his hump over this case and I'd like to be among the first to say a public and well-earned, "Thank you" to Jaime. Anything connected to this investigation is to be made as openly available to all -as it can be made to be. It is in that spirit that I post a copy of a communication between myself and Bruce Maccabee. This way, _nobody_ is left out of the information loop and no one can say that any information is being withheld by anybody. FYI UFO UpDates List: Bruce Maccabee wrote: >We MUST be able to >correlate th radar detections with flir images, if possible. >If they don't correlate, then so be it, but we won't know until we >can establish the timing between radar targets and flir signals. I responded: Bruce, the crew already testified that the FLIR was pointed at the _same_ target(s) they were getting on radar. I have read this comment about the FLIR being pointed at the radar target in a couple of places. It can also be heard in the audio portion of the FLIR DVD. Below is a copy of a note I received from Jaime with responses to a couple of questions I had asked. In his response to me he answers your question about radar data/recordings. >Incidently, as the plane was flying eastward the objects >may have been more than 15 miles away. In the crew 'voice recording' that is part of the DVD, the crew is calling out readings on the UFOs as they go. One voice will say "I have the object at 12 miles distance" then another will chime in with the speed of the object, "I make it moving at 335 MPH." etc. I will be working on translating the sound track of the event tomorrow. It should prove helpful to your analysis to know what readings they were calling during the encounter. I'm going to post a copy of this note to the List so every one who is following along can stay on the same page as us information-wise. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Note from Jaime: John: I have been reading in the list some of your questions. 1. Unfortunately the information in the Radar of the plane was lost, because they never record that. They use the radar, just to find the "blips", to chase them, and inform the military on the ground if they land, and where did they land. 2. I ignore if there is information of radar in the ground. I know they check twice with the military radar in city of Carmen, Campeche, but this radar didn=B4t get the objects at any time in the screen, it seems to me that they saw the objects in the radar screen of the plane, but just in some angle. The only time they saw the objects in the screen is when they chase the first object and when the objects surrounded the plane, then they saw two in the back and the left of the plane. 3. The Merlin C 26/A is not equipped with guns, it is just an interception and information gathering airplane. 4. Starting this May the military is going to change the planes to some more sophisticated planes. 5. I am here investigating in Campeche. I will let you know my findings. 6. I don=B4t have anything against Scott Corrales- Jaime ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hope all this helps, Bruce. I'll let you know about the DVD audio translation as soon as I have it all down on paper. Best, John
