I translated the following:

Worthy of comment, is the fact that with this flotilla,
_exceeding_ it, is the presence of an object of enormous
proportions that made an appearance during the course of the
mission,

It should read:

"Worthy of comment, is the fact that with this flotilla,
preceding it, is the presence of an object of enormous
proportions that made an appearance during the course of the
mission," (referring to a 15 story high UFO)

I hope this clears up any confusion I may have created with my
first choice of an English word for 'sobresale'. Sobresale
literally translated means; 'comes out first' or, 'precedes'. I
don't know where I got "exceeds" from. A lapse of concentration
maybe.

In my own defense I must say that one of the
difficulties/obstacles in translating Spanish to English
_accurately_ has to do with having to deal with tricky
sentence/word inversions along with the way tenses are used in
Spanish. It can be like untying and then straightening out a
complex and twisted knot of words.

I would freely translate "la conformation de los mismos seria
esferica" as "their shape would be spherical", or something like
that. Seria in this context is the conditional of "ser", to be,
and "esferica" means spherical, as one might guess."

Durante al menos 30 minutos, los oficiales de la Fuerza Aerea
Mexicana siguieron a las extranas luces; sin embargo, el propio
seguimiento ten=EDa deparadas sorpresas a la tripulacion del avion
militar, pues conforme avanzaban hacia su objetivo, la pantalla
del radar y la camara "FLIR", comenzaron a detectar mas ecos
desconocidos que se iban sumando a los que ya se ten=EDan
registrados. Sumando un total de 11 objetos que de acuerdo a lo
que se observa en la pantalla, la conformacion de los mismos
seria esferica.

For at least thirty minutes the officers of the Mexican Air
Force followed the strange lights, their monitoring bringing
many surprises to the crew of the military airplane.

In agreement as to action, and as they flew toward their target,
the radar screen and the FLIR began to detect more unknown
echoes in addition to those that had already registered.

Adding up to a total of 11 objects that, according to what was
observed on the screen, confirmed their shape would be
spherical.

mission, this, before the amazed looks of the witnesses; and in
accordance with the testimony of the pilot of the airplane,
would have had to be the size of a fifteen story building. This
estimate being based on the readings from the "FLIR".
Subsequently the equipment helped to establish the fact that the
objects at one point _surrounded_ the airplane.

de misiones, es gente altamente capacitada, pues opera en un

It is worth while recalling that all the military personnel
chosen for this type of mission, are always the most highly
qualified as the operations deal with very sensitive aspects of
national security. Bearing this fact in mind, it is surprising
to listen to, as the audio record of the mission recorded it,
how emotional the comments of the crew members became. Thus,
when listening to the conversation, we hear expressions such as
"Young people what a lucky day!" Of all the comments made, the
most memorable, in the entire recording, is when we hear one of
them exclaim: "Young people we are not alone"

"Por que nos estan siguiendo?"

"Why are they following us?"

Despues de los primeros minutos de la operacion, el avion de la
Fuerza Aerea Mexicana, no pudo continuar el seguimiento a los
Objetos Voladores No Identificados ya que el combustible
comenzaba a agotarse, obligando con ello a terminar la mision.
Grande seria la sorpresa del grupo de militares cuando se
percataron con sus instrumentos que dos objetos aparentemente
comenzaron a seguirlos cuando en el audio escuchamos una voz que
dice: Por que nos estan siguiendo?..."; dando con esto mayor
misterio al evento.

After a few more minutes of flying, the Mexican Air Force plane
could not continue the monitoring and pursuit of the
unidentified flying objects because the fuel began to run out,
obliging the crew to bring the mission to an end.

It was a huge surprise to the crew men when they noticed - with
their instruments - that two of the objects apparently continued
flying with them, when in the audio we hear a crew member say:

"Why are they following us?"
