Hello John,

That is very interesting and if that particular "long, unbroken
and un-punctuated" 'Bible' had _always_ been openly known to
everyone, i.e. the general population, those _two_ facts would
go a long way towards answering one huge problem that dooms all
other 'Bible Codes'. But only for that particular 'Bible'.

The 'Bible', as Europeans/Americans know it, was hidden away
from the population for hundreds of years, under pain of death,
because it was deemed to be too sensitive. [Like the Dead Sea
Scrolls were kept under lock and key for decades while panicky
rulers and priests pored over them]

Only when printing came along did it become necessary for a
ruler to have to 'authorize' a version for the masses.

It was suspected to be have been edited to remove inflammatory
phrases or opinions. And the suspicions were right. Even today
you can find `mis-translations' or insertions of past propaganda
in the Bibles known by Europeans and Americans. Check:

That huge problem (for "Coders"): if words or phrases have been
changed - and we know many _have_ been over the centuries - any
sequential coding was destroyed hundreds of years ago, by
repeated double whammies of "destructive gaps" and "destructive
false bits".

Privately, I'm inclined to believe power enabled the corruption
of texts by rulers everywhere. How else did an anti-authority
moral religion like Christianity get adopted by rulers and
transformed into a "do as you're told" religion - "required by
the State" - on pain of torture and death?

In an earlier example the Sanskrit "religious rules" were
forbidden even to be written down - like the non-existent UK
constitution - and for the same reason: so authority can simply
lie whenever anyone says "that's unconstitutional". [Why do you
think "men in suits" are so opposed to a _written_ European
constitution?]

Now we know those Sanskrit rules contained edicts like "an
upper-class person may only be charged 5% interest but lower
classes must be charged at least 50%" (way over 100% in some
cases) - to prevent any change to the status quo.

By now intelligent Listers probably realize I'm personally _not_
inclined to give quasi-superstitious credibility to yet another
bent 'priesthood' - even in software form.
