Actually, it may not be quite that simple. From reading various
articles on this case, I've been able to glean some additional
information.

First, tracks were not found at the site of the original
mutilations on April 5 where the cow and calf were found dead,
only at the second site. In the first case, genitals were
removed; in the second just one teat was partially severed.

Second, the vet who examined the dead cattle, expressed his
opinion that there were two separate culprits here. IOW, he
didn't think the same "people" were responsible for both sets of

Could it be that the killing and botched mutilation on April 7
when tracks were found was done by humans attempting a cover up
by leaving human type evidence?

Could the original killings have been done by "them."

Nah! I don't believe in conspiracies.  :-)
