On Lakeshore Boulevard, just west of the 'Prince's Gate' entrance to the Canadian National Exhibition, a male witness, in a taxi heading West toward Etobicoke, was attracted to spotlights shining from the World Trade Centre at the CNE.

Over those spotlights he saw a black triangular-shaped object hovering above the complex, about 150 meters from him. The object had lights on the bottom, in a V-formation.

As the taxi drove along Lakeshore Boulevard, which curves around the exhibition grounds, the witness got a view of the object from multiple angles. He managed to watch it for a couple of minutes, until his taxi carried him out of viewing range.

The witness's immediate reaction was that it was an 'alien spacecraft'. In the minutes before he spotted it, he had been paying attention to the sky and had noticed a number of planes in the area, all displaying their requisite blinking lights etc. He'd also noticed the stars in the sky including, quote, "one incredibly bright one located fairly low in the north-western part of the sky". Unquote.

Since the night of the sighting, the witness, a computer systems manager with a major Canadian bank, says that he has considered the possibility that it was a blimp but he knows it wasn't. It was a somewhat breezy night but the object was absolutely rock-solid in the air - this was not a zeppelin being buffeted by the wind. He said he had no difficulty making out the shape of the triangular object. Lighting was not a problem as it was hovering in a spotlight-lit area There was no unseen balloon portion hiding in the shadows.

He says he'd remained absolutely calm. As if one half was sure of what he was seeing and the other half was maintaining complete disbelief. While trying to maintain eye contact he frantically searched for his digital still camera in his bag, but he didn't get it out in time. Adding, "the camera's resolution is only 640 by 480 and it doesn't take very good night pictures."
